October 9th and 10th Riedel participated in the Gourmet Experience- a food, luxury and lifestyle event produced by the creators of the nationally acclaimed San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival.  The inaugural event took place at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in Del Mar, CA.   Attendees were able to learn about Riedel as well as purchase items on site.   The event was well attended and Riedel was proud to be a part of it.

Tasting was held at the Anderson County Museum, Anderson, SC to raise funds for future exhibit development.

84 people in attendance for the tasting. Afterward there were stations set up with local chefs and wine vendors showcasing their products.

St.Vincent’s Meals on Wheels Charity Benefit to celebrate the birthday of Sister Alice Marie Quinn – took place at Vibana 210 S Main Street, Los Angeles.

What was the purpose of the event? To raise money for Meals on Wheels and to celebrate the contributions and birthday of Sister Alice Marie Quinn.

What were the highlights of the event?  Awesome Silent auction which included Riedel in almost every wine auction lot.  

How were the attendees’ reactions to Riedel (initial impressions, quotes etc.)?  The raffle ticket box for a chance to win a bounty of Riedel was fuller than any of the other raffle boxes.

The original clear, lyre-shaped Amadeo decanter ($395) was introduced in 2006 to commemorate Riedel’s 250^th anniversary, the name a nod to fellow Austrian, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, whose 250^th birthday was also celebrated that year. This hand blown, lead crystal decanter is shaped like a lyre and pours like a dream. Wine is simply decanted into the vessel’s wider opening and poured into the glass through its slender mouth. Effortless and pleasurable to use, the Amadeo decanter is a reminder that functional objects can be works of art.
